Presidential Advisory Council Member, Muhammad Luthfi Ali Yahya (Habib Luthfi), accompanied by Hasbullah Ahmad, Wantimpres Member Secretary, led a Recitation and Religious Study Gathering at Kanzus Sholawat in Pekalongan City, Central Java, on Friday (15/12/23). This particular Kliwonan religious study gathering, aside from being the last one in 2023, was exceptionally significant as it was attended by several scholars from the Middle East, particularly Asy-Syeikh Naji Rashed Al-Arabi from Bahrain.
During his brief sermon, Habib Luthfi explained the significance of the phrase “laa ilaha ilallah,” citing a hadith qudsi stating, “Whoever utters the words ‘laa ilaha ilallah,’ he will enter My fortress, and whoever enters My fortress will be safe from the punishment of the Hellfire.” However, Habib Luthfi emphasized that the recitation of this phrase must be supported by unwavering faith, without harboring any negative assumptions about Allah SWT. Indeed, Allah SWT relies greatly on His servants’ assumptions, and the consequences of those assumptions will also be experienced by His servants, clarified Habib Luthfi.
Previously, Habib Luthfi invited Sheikh Naji Rashed Al-Arabi from Bahrain to share his knowledge with the attendees. Sheikh Naji Rashed Al-Arabi praised Habib Luthfi’s recitation assembly, stating that if Muslims understood the significance of the recitations regularly chanted in Habib Luthfi’s assembly, Muslims would crawl to attend it. The recitation assembly is filled with angels descending from the heavens to bestow blessings. Therefore, Sheikh Naji Rashed Al-Arabi urged Muslims to attend it with enthusiasm.
This Recitation and Religious Study event was attended by figures like KH Ali Masadi, Deputy Chief of JATMAN, religious leaders, and thousands of attendees from various regions across the country.
