On Wednesday, June 27, 2023, Wantimpres member Sidarto Danusubroto, accompanied by
Member Secretary Sudiman Tarigan, paid a visit to the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center
(ITPC) Barcelona. In discussions with the Head of ITPC Barcelona, Freddy Josef Pelawi, who
was accompanied by staff, various matters were discussed with the aim of opening a wider
market for Indonesian products in Barcelona. In the evening, Sidarto Danusubroto conducted a
National Dialogue with around 50 Indonesian Diaspora people living in Barcelona and its
surroundings. In his presentation, Sidarto Danusubroto conveyed how important it is to maintain
pluralism and diversity even though we are in another country. It is quite encouraging that the
Indonesian Diaspora in Barcelona is very compact without distinguishing ethnicity, religion,
race, or regional origin. In various events such as Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and so on, they all
actively participate.
