Members of the Presidential Advisory Council Sidarto Danusubroto and Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani were speakers at the national discussion with the theme of strategies to maintain national consensus organized by the Indonesian Women’s Age on February 13, 2023, at Rumah Wijaya, Jakarta.
In this activity, Mr. Sidarto Danusubroto conveyed the importance of ideological vaccines to overcome terrorism, radicalism, and extremism while still being guided by the values of the four national consensuses such as Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Similarly, Ibu Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani reminded us about the role of women, both through education in their families and communities and as the spearhead of instilling national values in society.
Some setbacks to women’s roles have occurred, for example, in Afghanistan, but the experience of the United Arab Emirates shows women can play a positive role in development, as demonstrated by the Gender Equality Index, which has increased rapidly over the past decade. Other speakers were the Director of Ekallied Indonesian Moderate Network, Islah Bahrawi, and Former BNPT Deputy, Hamli.
