Sidarto Danusubroto, member of the Wantimpres, inaugurated the name of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) building to become Dr. R. Soeharto on Tuesday (30/08). Dr. R. Suharto was the first President’s Personal Physician, Ir. Soekarno. He was also one of the founders of IDI and also the First Chairman of the Indonesian Family Planning Association (PKBI).
In his speech, Sidarto Danusubroto felt honored at the inauguration of the IDI Building. In addition, he also told about his testimony against Dr. R. Soeharto and participated as a witness in the struggle of Dr. R. Soeharto who is expected to become a National Hero of Indonesia. “When I became Bung Karno’s aide after the Supersemar, I heard directly from him (Bung Karno) about Dr. R. Soeharto, who is his confidant and Bung Karno and Bung Hatta’s personal doctor since 1942″. Sidarto said.
“Dr. R. Soeharto always accompanied Bung Karno’s trips to various countries around the world. DR Soeharto also carried out various other roles and duties without leaving his expertise as a doctor”, explained Sidarto.
Also present at the inauguration were the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, member of the Wantimpres, Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, and other figures.
