Muhamad Mardiono and Agung Laksono, Members of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres), accompanied by Secretary of the Wantimpres Members, Mohammed Ali Berawi, Ganjar Razuni and Devanto Pratomo, received an audience for health technology development companies, which were attended by Arief Wibowo, Akbar Dharmaputra, Hendro Wicaksono and Muhammad Islahuddin, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Wantimpres Office.
This meeting discussed the use of the latest technology and research development in the health sector. Technological advances in the health sector have a role to play in increasing public health resilience and the quality of health services. The meeting also discussed strategies for developing domestic health technology and optimizing existing equipment, standardization and clinical trial facilities. If health technology can be developed to the maximum, it can shorten and accelerate the handling of patients’ illnesses.
Mardiono and Agung Laksono stated that support for ecosystem development including health sector technology is absolutely necessary because with Indonesia’s large population, health security is one of the important factors to create a developed and strong country. Increasing health resilience through various preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts will continue to be strengthened through the development and innovation of health technology. It is hoped that various research and development of health technology will be an effort to realize product independence and competitiveness of the national health industry.
