Member of the Presidential Advisory Council, H.R. Agung Laksono, on Monday, June 6, 2022, held a meeting and discussion with the Director of the Executive Board of the Lake Toba Authority (BPODT) to discuss the development of a super priority tourist destination for Lake Toba in Indonesia. On this occasion the Director of Tourism Marketing of BPODT, Wahyu Dito Galih Indharto conveyed the development of the Toba Caldera Resort which will be built on an area of 386 hectares.
On this occasion, Agung also made a visit to see directly the cultural attractions in Huta Siallagan and the development of SMEs in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra accompanied by the Regent of Samosir, Vandiko T Gultom.
Agung assessed that the Lake Toba area has beautiful and extraordinary nature and panoramas, and is supported by very good regional culture. Agung is optimistic that the prospect of developing Lake Toba tourism in the future will be able to become a driving force for the growth of the national tourism industry and provide benefits for improving the local economy
