Member of the Presidential Advisory Council, Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani received Ms. Ye Lu, a reporter for Guo Ji Ri Bao, Indonesia’s national newspaper for the Mandarin-speaking Chinese-Indonesian community.
In the discussion, Putri conveyed some of the main tasks she did while at the Wantimpres, in encouraging MSMEs, especially in the development of culture-based industries, such as the herbal medicine industry, batik, weaving, handicrafts and many more, which indirectly boosted the national tourism industry.
According to Putri, cultural wealth and diversity are assets that can always be encouraged to improve the community economic welfare, especially through the development of MSMEs.
In addition, through various women’s organizations such as Pertiwi Indonesia, Putri also encourages women’s empowerment through various activities in supporting MSMEs, as well as supporting the participation of Indonesian women to be able to collaborate in W20 (Woman in G20) which is in line with Indonesia’s role in the G20 Presidency in 2022. Meanwhile, efforts to encourage the capacity of Indonesian young women’s human resources in developing their potential are carried out through the Puteri Indonesia Foundation.
