Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres), Dr H Soekarwo, SH., M.Hum., became a resource person in the Madura Development Dialogue held by Trunojoyo University Madura (UTM), Monday, October 25th, 2021. Pakde Karwo, Soekarwo’s nickname, brought his presentation material through a zoom meeting with the title ” Madura Development Based on Agro-Maritime”.
This event also presented the Chancellor of Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM) Dr. Ec. Muh Syarif, M.Si, Professor of Sociology Universitas Airlangga Prof. Hotman Sihaan and the UTM academic community as resource persons.
In his presentation, Pakde Karwo hoped that UTM would become a Center of Excellent for the development of Madura’s various potentials, especially agricultural potential in a broad sense such as food, livestock, fisheries and marine resource potential. “UTM has become a pillar of the Center of Excellent Agro-Maritime Development in Madura,” said Pakde Karwo.
UTM also has an important and strategic role in encouraging four regencies, namely Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan and Sumenep to carry out holistic and integrated development. “UTM, the Madura Ulama Forum and the Regional Government in Madura together become the pillars of Madura’s development as well as an integral part in making Madura Advanced, Fair and Prosperous,” said Pakde Karwo.
