The Secretary of the Member of the Presidential Advisory Council H.R. Agung Laksono, Ganjar Razuni, accompanied by the Chairman of the Special Autonomy Study Team for Aceh and Papua, Sabil Rahman, and members of the Study Team held a series of meetings with the Expert Staff of the Governor of Papua for Special Autonomy Handling, Expert Staff of the Governor of Papua for Economic Affairs, Expert Staff of the Governor of Papua for Indigenous Community Development, the Mayor of Jayapura, representatives of the Regent of Keerom, Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), as well as youth and student organizations to discuss the evaluation of Papua Special Autonomy implementation, from 20-23 October 2021. On this occasion, all parties expressed their views and input regarding the evaluation of Papua Special Autonomy implementation and supervision. This activity is also fully supported by the Papua Provincial Government. Ganjar Razuni said that this meeting was aimed at accommodating all aspirations regarding the implementation of Special Autonomy both before the revision of Law No. 21 of 2001 and after the revision was made with the birth of Law No. 2 of 2021. The inputs, views, and findings obtained from a series of meetings with various parties in Papua will be a valuable material for further elaboration in the composition of a study on Special Autonomy as the material for composing Advisory Paper to the President.
