Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres), Muhammad Luthfi Ali Yahya, hosted a socialization event of Pertashop establishment in Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) which was attended by around 50 Pesantren representatives from Central Java, on Friday, 30 April 2021. This program was arranged by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) together with the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), PT Pertamina (Persero) and Indonesian Sharia Bank (BSI). The event was attended by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir who is also the Chairman of the Sharia Economic Community (MES), the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Arsul Sani, Head of BPH Migas M. Fanshurullah Asa, and BSI President Director Hery Gunardi. Mayor of Pekalongan H.A. Afzan Arslan Djunaid, and the Regent of Pekalongan Asip Kholbihi also attended the event.
The presence of Pertashop in pesantren is not only to ensure the availability and distribution of oil fuels (BBM), but is also intended for the economic equality and business opportunities that will create jobs, and would finally strengthen the economic resilience of the Ummah. Muhammad Luthfi Ali Yahya thought that the presence of Pertashop can be an effort to build the independency of the pesantren. Pertashop is expected to be an engine that can provide economic benefits to the ummah and be sustainable. “In order for the business to continue to grow, the key is that management must be properly regulated, and not mixed with others. Prioritize the business to grow first. Business principles must be complied, do not mix with personal debts,” said Habib Luthfi. (AD)
