Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) gave a speech at the 2021 National Kebaya Congress (KBN) with the theme “Preservation Policy of Kebaya as Cultural Heritage”. KBN 2021 was held online on Monday, April 5, 2021. In her remarks Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani as one of the KBN trustees, conveyed the history of the emergence of kebaya and its development. Kebaya continues to grow with variety of looks, tastes and needs today. Kebaya is a cultural heritage that needs to be preserved and continues to be developed as a national identity. Therefore Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani is very supportive of the community movement which seeks to invite the nation’s generation to recognize, love, and use accessories and clothes that come from the nation’s culture. The movement to return to cultural roots is not merely a nationalist movement, but also can boost economic improvement through the creative economy sector. (Okt)
