Arifin Panigoro, Member of the Presidential Advisory Council, is one of prominent figure in health and social activism. During the Covid 19 pandemic he initiated a coalition of civil society for health worker protection namely COVID-19 Eradication Solidarity (Solidaritas Berantas COVID-19/SBC). SBC had conducted rapid test for health workers and hospital staff with high risk in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) and Tarakan Regional Hospital. SBC also initiated health workers protection by carried out the first swab examination at Jakarta’s Hajj Hospital and Sukapura Islamic Hospital in collaboration with University of Indonesia’s Microbiology Lab. Furthermore, SBC will collaborates with more non-referral hospitals such as Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital, Carolus Hospital, RSCM, Tarakan Regional Hospital and continue to openly partner with other hospitals (OCT).
