Mr. Arifin Panigoro, Member of The Presidential Advisory Council attended the launching of “the Indonesia Moves Towards Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination 2030”, at Cimahi Techno Park, Cimahi on Wednesday, January 29, 2019. The agenda was officially opened by President Joko Widodo. According to WHO Global Tuberculosis Report 2019, Indonesia has the third highest tuberculosis cases internationally after India and China. In 2018, the estimation of TB incidents in Indonesia reach 845,000 case and a total of 93,000 people died from TB.
The government supports on this program is in accordance with national plans for human capital development, which constitutes one of the current administration’s five years vision. (ARD/FA)
