On September 20, 2018, General (Ret.) Agum Gumelar, Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (WANTIMPRES) attended an Indonesian cultural arts event in Bratislava, Slovakia, as a part of his overseas working visit agenda in the Slovak Republic from September 18 to 22, 2018. This event, that organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Slovakia, was held to celebrate the 73rd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia and 25 year Indonesian-Slovak diplomatic relations.
This reception was attended by around 200 invitations consisting of government officials such as Deputy Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of the Slovak Presidential Office, parliamentarians, 25 ambassadors, academics, businessmen, media and alumni of Indonesian scholarship recipients. In his remarks, Agum Gumelar said that the two countries have established relations and cooperation in various sectors with the visits of government officials, parliamentarians, trade missions and academics. This shows that the two countries play an active role in developing and strengthening their bilateral relations. (AD)
