Mardiono visits Turi Market to support Local MSMEs

On March 6, 2021, Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Muhamad Mardiono conducted working visit to Surabaya, East Java Province. Together with several community leaders, he took the time to review the condition of Turi Market (Pasar Turi) after burn down incidence in 2007.

On that occasion, Mardiono met old traders and listened to the explanation of problems being faced in Pasar Turi. As widely known, since the resumption of operations in Turi Market, there are still many old traders who have not been able to start their activities and resume trade at Pasar Turi until now. Mardiono said that MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise) are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, therefore the prolonged problems that faced by market traders must be resolved properly and wisely.
