The Presidential Advisory Council of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2026–2029 period convened its Second Plenary Session in Jakarta on Thursday (October 15, 2026). Chaired by the Head of Wantimpres RI, Pratikno, the session focused on establishing member portfolios as an initial step to formulate a more targeted working agenda. This portfolio division is expected to optimize the competencies, experience, and expertise of each member while strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration.
“Through this division of portfolios, all members are expected to make meaningful contributions in supporting the President’s duties, in alignment with their diverse knowledge, wisdom, and respective experiences,” stated Pratikno.
The plenary session also invited the Head of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, alongside the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy. National data and statistics, coupled with a development planning perspective, serve as the foundational basis for Wantimpres in comprehending Indonesia’s current conditions and challenges.
This data-driven, cross-sectoral assessment is expected to empower Wantimpres in delivering targeted and objective advice and considerations tailored to the President’s needs.
